Simerics license is no longer working

If you get an error message when starting SimericsMP that says "License Request Failed," it could be related to multiple issues:


1. Make sure that your license hasn't expired. Open the most recent .lic file in the folder C:\ProgramData\Simerics (note that it is ProgramData, not Program Files). It will show the expiration date.


2. The Hardware ID is combination of CPU info, HDD serial number, System information, and MAC address of all network adapters. So if network adapters are added or removed, it will have the effect of changing the Hardware ID. For example, turning Bluetooth on or off may change your Hardware ID, as may moving a laptop into or out of a docking station. If that is the case, contact us at support@orca3d.com. We may be able to provide a license file that will allow two Hardware IDs for the same computer.
