As of October 8, 2018 our version numbering/release nomenclature has changed. Version 1.4 was a "Work-In-Progress" version or WIP version that like 1.3.10 ran only in Rhino 5. We have now promoted that version to 1.5 which is a release version for Rhino 5. It is free to existing Orca3D users. Version 2.0 is now released and is a paid upgrade for Version 1 users.
We have implemented a new licensing system in both of these releases; the Nalpeiron system has been replaced by CopyMinder. As of December 15, 2018 the Nalpeiron system will no longer be available to users or to us to reset licenses, activate licenses, de-activate licenses, or extend trials. All Version 1.x licensees will receive a CopyMinder license so that they can use Version 1.5. If you have not received yours, please contact us at support@orca3d.com, and include your Nalpeiron License Code (389000...).
If everything is running smoothly now, you can continue to use the present system. Our agreement with Nalpeiron will expire in December 2018, but as long as you don’t need to move a license, install Orca3D on a new computer, or anything else that requires use of the Orca3D License Manager to activate/deactivate a license, everything should keep running properly.
If you want to run Version 1 with Rhino 5 and Version 2 with Rhino 6 on the same computer, that will work fine. If you have a network license it will be easier if you install the new license server on a separate computer from the old one.
