If you have a Version 2 network license and are upgrading to a Version 3 network license, you will need to decide whether you will be uninstalling Version 2 or maintaining it in parallel with Version 3.

If uninstalling:

     a. Make sure on the existing server that the Windows Service called CMServer_BCO is stopped. (Be aware that no clients will be able to use the Orca3D license during this process)

     b. You can remove the Windows service by opening a command prompt with administrative rights, navigating to Version 2: C:\Program Files (x86)\Orca3D Network Server, then in a command prompt run cmserver /u   (see page 19 the Installation Instructions)
      c. Uninstall Orca3D Network Server via Add/Remove Programs on the server.

If maintaining both Version 2 and Version 3:

1. Stop the service called "CMServer_BCO"

2. Download and Install the Version 3 Network License Server from the Version 3 download page (this will create a folder called C:\Program Files (x86)\Orca3D V3 Network Server)

3. Copy all of the files in C:\Program Files (x86)\Orca3D Network Server (these are the V2 files) to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Orca3D V3 Network Server folder (don't overwrite any duplicate files; respond "No" when asked to replace files of the same name

4. Run C:\Program Files (x86)\Orca3D V3 Network Server\CMServer.exe as administrator.

5. Choose the Startup Mode "Application"

6. Enter your Version 3 network license key

7. Install Orca3D Version 3 on a client computer and make sure both Version 3 and Version 2 clients can access the server (follow the Installation Instructions, and be sure to select “Configure as a Network Client”)

8. Terminate CMServer via the File menu (DON'T CLICK the red X). Restart as administrator. Choose the Startup Mode "Start as Service.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for your continued use of Orca3D!
